STAGE 2 INFORMATION PROCESSING AND PUBLISHING: ELECTRONIC PUBLISHING
Assessment Component 1: Practical Skills (40%)
Task 1A (20%):
Develop a web reference manual for HTML and CSS. (20%)
pages: menu, simple HTML tags, other HTML tags with attributes, form tags, CSS
Task 1B (20%):
Develop a website about the multicultural aspect of Woodville High School. This will includes accurate information and a survey

Assessment Component 2: Designing and Skills Applications (30%)
Task 2:
Develop a web site to promote yourself. This could take a number of forms.
It could be about your family and friends, including interests, hobbies. The audience would be your family or friends.
You could promote yourself for a career (skills, experience, career aspirations). You would include this as part of your CV when applying for jobs.
The website must be 6-10 pages, including a home page
Consistent easy to use navigation throughout the site
Must contain text, graphics, animations, an interactive form and sound files
This requires:
investigation – eg. Find and analyse other sites (2-4 examples) that have done this – 250 words
devising -write an imaginative, innovative plan of what you will do before you do it – 250 words
production – produce a well designed web site based on your plan.
evaluation – evaluate what you have achieved against what you planned to achieve – 400 words
communication – document what you have done clearly, the important decisions you made along the way
(total of 250 + 250 + 400 = 900 words)
Assessment Component 3: Issues Analysis (15%, made of 10% content / analysis and 5% presentation)
Task 3:
Develop an opinion piece about on line bullying or harassment. Publish as a well designed web page. Describe the issue, provide relevant information and suggest a solution or solutions to the problem. (maximum of 500 words)
Assessment Component 4: Technical and Operational Understanding (15%)
